Description

 E-Ten has just released its newest model, the M800 with a full QWERTY keyboard. While the functionality and feature set are identical to the X800 we reviewed earlier ( with the addition of the extra sliding keyboard) the design has been completely revamped. Eten M800 is the QWERTY-equipped version of the X800. Otherwise it has similar features and is quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA phone calable of global 2G and 3G roaming. Operating the sliding mechanism reveals the jet-black keyboard and the 39-button keyboard does allow easy typing of short messages and emails. The glofiish M800 supports GSM, GPRS and HSDPA for voice and data connectivity almost worldwide, while IEEE802.11b/g support allows users to connect to public and private Wi-FI® networks when in range of suitable hotspots. For travelers, the glofiish M800 also features GPS and TMC functions delivered via an embedded SiRF Star III chipset allowing the glofiish M800 to handle both daily business needs and weekend leisure. You get quad-band GSM, so you'll be able to make phone calls pretty much anywhere in the world you can get a mobile signal. It has HSDPA up to 3.6Mbits/sec for fast mobile broadband connectivity, plus 3G and GPRS with EDGE. There's a SiRF Star III GPS receiver, so you can add sat-nav to the phone if you wish. The user can communicate with other compatible contact by using text, symbols, photo or video as an input method. The text message service allows the user to communicate with others using text & symbols with a predictive text assistance, if required. The M800 comes with an instant messaging service which allows the user to have an instant message conversation containing text & symbols with contacts whom are online at the same time as the user. The instant messaging service works like an instant messaging service on the users PC but the phone instant messaging service is mobile. The multimedia message can contain a photo or video with sound & text which allows the user to share their experiences & surrounding with others using the phones built in 2 megapixel camera. The user can use the email service to communicate with their email contacts which allows the user to send & receive emails directly to the Eten M800. The handsfree speakerphone feature allows the user to take a call over the phones speakers which leaves the user handsfree to continue to work or simply relax & chat without holding the handset.
